Smoking is yet one of the leading preventable causes of disease. Smoking affects just about every region of your system from your lungs to your eye, and still your kidneys and liver. The biggest risks for smokers are lung cancer and emphysema. People who stop lean to slip into three categories: folk who woke upward one day and stop; folk who arrest a cool and look overly sick to smoke for a few days, so hold it upward; and folk given an ultimatum by a physician.

Mesothelioma, or the cancer of mesothelium, is a fatal tumor that affects pleura, peritoneum, and pericardium – linings around lungs, abdomen, and heart respectively. It is a fatal disease caused by exposure to asbestos, a naturally occurring mineral.
Mesothelioma cancer be benign, i.e. it can be non-cancerous and non-spreading or it can be malignant i.e. cancerous and spread to other parts of the body leading to death. Its primary cause is prolonged exposure to asbestos and it has a latency period of about 30 to 50 years.

I remember as a kid, I would watch my mother smoke. This boggled me since we were learning how bad cigarettes were in school and my own mother was doing the very thing that we were told would eventually kill her. The concept of addiction was something that my young mind was not able to grasp. It didn’t seem realistic that someone would need to be defendant on something like a cigarette. How I quit smoking cigarettes and you can quit, too. Quitting smoking can be the hardest thing a person can do, but it can be done. I was a smoker for over twenty years, including at least sixteen years as a heavy smoker; which I consider one and a half to two packs a day. I was able to quit by using motivational techniques and a nicotine replacement therapy.
